Sagen er at jeg er julemand inde i Tivoli og at dette har givet mig så mange oplevelser og overvejelser at jeg har haft lyst til at skrive om dem.

Frost-an action hero

I have for the first time decided to make a Santa Claus blog posts in English. I guess that most of you who read the blog know English and I've got a few non-Danish "likers" on "kanenyt" this year and it could be nice to oblige this "likers" and then also this post is sort of a "drawings-post" based around some drawings.

When I was told that this year I should be the Russian Father Frost in staid of Santa Claus. I began to prepared myself. As work got started, I discovered that there wasn't really the big difference between being Santa Claus and Father Frost. At one point however I discovered the there was a big difference that I had had no idea about. The spare time. The time when Santa Claus and Father Frost does not sit on the stage inside Tivoli and talk with children and adults about their wishes. When Santa Claus had finished his day in Tivoli he flew in his sleigh pulled by his reindeers through the ear up to Greenland. When he arrived there late at night and everyone had gone to bed home at Santa's workshop. He takes a little round to check if the light is off and if there is some small things needs to be cleaned up for the night. Then he’ll sit down in the sofa in his little room and go on-line to see today's section of all the Nordic-Christmas-calendar on the deferent TV- stations homepage’s. Then he goes to bed and next morning he’ll fly back to Tivoli to sit on stage and talk to children and adults about their wishes. Father Frost (Ded Maroz) lives a very different life. Almost as soon as he is off, he is "on mission". He is like some kind of a super hero. From the headquarters in the small town of Veliky Ustyug in Russia he is constantly called on mission. He is called for to fight against poverty, help against distress, fight against grief and help people though pain. Evil must be driven to flight. There is not much time to sit around and and eat biscuits and watch the Nordic-Christmas-calendars on the Internet.

Some drawings of Father Frost (Ded Maroz) in action:

This was the last Santa Claus post this season. Thanks for following this. Happy New year and much love.
